Hi, I’m the Bare Necessities Tutor. I specialize in helping young readers build the foundational skills they need to feel confident and successful. I’ve spent the past eight years teaching and tutoring Pre-K and elementary-aged students through classroom teaching, small group work, and one-on-one support.

I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia, a Special Education certification through the GACE, a Master’s in Early Elementary Education from the American College of Education, and a Reading Specialist certification from Georgia Southern. My approach is calm, encouraging, and focused on phonics, fluency, and comprehension using research-based methods.

I offer online tutoring and in-person sessions at my location for families in Dawsonville, Georgia and surrounding areas. Helping children grow as readers isn’t just what I do. It’s what I love.
